Shirley Van Lelyveld

Shirley qualified in 1996 from the University of Pretoria and has worked in a number of small animal practices since. In April 2007 she completed a 3 year residency in clinical oncology, veterinary referrals cancer and critical care.

In June 2007 she moved to a large multidisciplinary referral hospital where she worked as a staff oncologist. She managed the referred medical oncology patients, radiation oncology patients and emergency on call duties for their cases.

Since December 2012, she has taken a sabbatical to study and research in the area of oncology, to publish papers, to complete her diploma in oncology.
