Hi, I’m Demi!

I have been passionate about animal welfare for as long as I can remember. My interest in working with animals began through work experience in grooming salons and veterinary practices, where I quickly realised that animal care was the career I wanted to pursue.

Throughout my life, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for a wide variety of pets, including cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs and cockatiels. Having grown up surrounded by animals, I’ve always loved the companionship they bring and the opportunity to care for them.

Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of hobbies, including painting and drawing, swimming and keeping active. I also love travelling with my partner and, of course, going on adventures with my dog, Daisy!

I studied Animal Management at Houghall College, where I achieved my Level 1 Animal Management qualification and had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge across a wide range of species, from skunks and amphibians to sheep and cattle. I then progressed to complete my Level 2 Veterinary Care Assistant qualification, further developing my knowledge and practical skills within veterinary care.

I’m now excited to continue developing my career as an Animal Care Assistant here at Moorview Referrals, where I look forward to expanding my experience and providing the highest standard of care to our patients.
