Darren qualified with honours from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2010. He initially worked in mixed practice with animals from cats to farm animals for three year before focusing on cats and dogs. He completed the BSAVA postgraduate certificate in small animal medicine in 2017 and subsequently obtained the RCVS advanced practitioner status in this field.
Darren has a strong interest in oncology, and deals with the majority of our oncology patients alongside our visiting oncology specialist. He also has a keen interest in acute medicine, endoscopy, critical care and interventional radiology, which includes placement of tracheal and urethral stents, and treating intrahepatic portosystemic shunts.
Being from the local area, Darren enjoys spending his spare time exploring the coast and countryside with his Border Terrier, Bailey. He also has an attention-seeking cat!
