After qualifying at Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2000, Jonathon’s first post was with a mixed practice in Northumberland. During the 3 years he spent there, he developed an interest in small animal surgery.
As a result of this passion, he moved on to a referral centre for small animals in West Yorkshire where he spent 5 years studying towards the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery which he attained in 2008.
In 2008 Jonathon decided to settle in Northumberland with his wife Megan. Their family has now grown with the addition of daughters Kate, Gracie and Peggy. They have a collection of pets including 8 cats, 1 dog, 3 horses, ducks, geese and chickens.
Jonathon founded Moorview Vets in 2008 and has been a Clinical Director at Moorview Referrals since 2017.
Jonathon achieved the status of RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery in 2015. He is currently a resident of the ECVN studying towards a European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology.
