After qualifying at Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2000, Jonathan’s first post was with a mixed practice in Northumberland and, during the 3 years he spent there, he developed an interest in small animal surgery.
As a result of this passion, he moved on to a referral centre for small animals in West Yorkshire where he spent 5 years studying towards the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery which he attained in 2008.
In 2008 Jonathan decided to settle in Northumberland, with his wife Megan, their family has now grown with the addition of daughters Kate, Gracie and Peggy. They have a collection of pets including 7 rescued stray cats, 3 dogs, 4 horses, ducks and chickens. Jonathan founded Moorview Vets in September 2008.
Jonathan also achieved RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in 2015.
