Using our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, our team can diagnose and treat all manner of ailments and diseases.

Meet the Team - Neurology

Our specialist led neurology department can accept any neurological and spinal case. Our on-site diagnostic equipment includes MRI, CT, and EMG.

With the support of our Emergency & Critical Care and Surgery teams, we provide a 24/7 emergency neurology referral service.

Kate Stalin

Specialist in Neurology

Kate graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2003 and after 2 years in general practice she returned to Cambridge as a resident in neurology. Following her initial training at the University, she completed her residency running a neurology service in private practice. Kate’s clinical interests include epilepsy, inflammatory brain disease and CNS neoplasia as well as neurosurgery.

Jonathan Deacon

ECVN Resident in Neurology

As a result of his passion for surgery, Jonathan studied for his Certificate in Small Animal Surgery while in general practice.

He achieved the status of RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery in 2015.  He is currently a resident of the ECVN studying towards a European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology. His main interest is in neurosurgery.

Jos Bongers

Board-Eligible Neurologist

Jos joined the Neurology Service as a resident in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the Small Animal Hospital in Glasgow.

She has now completed her training and is ready for the next challenge. Jos’ clinical interests include all parts of neurology and neurosurgery but has a particular interest in the management of idiopathic epilepsy.
